EVENTS/PLACES OF INTEREST

Mountain Brook offers year-round community events for most any interest. Winter events include the Holiday Parade, the Zoolight Safari at the nearby Birmingham Zoo and the Village 2 Village 10K Run through the area's most beautiful neighborhoods. Spring welcomes the Easter Egg Hunt and Parade in Crestline Village, The Funky Fish Fry, the Mountain Brook Spring Art Show and the Mountain Brook Sports Corporation Golf Tournament funding area schools. Summer events include Market Day and Cocktails in the Gardens featuring music food and drink at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Fall welcomes the Cahaba Village for the Cure event, a breast cancer awareness fundraiser, Crestline Rocks and the annual Halloween Parade.

Mountain Brook School System includes four elementary schools (Mountain Brook Elementary, Cherokee Bend Elementary, Brookwood Forest Elementary and Crestline Elementary), one junior high school (Mountain Brook Junior High), and one high school (Mountain Brook High School). There are also two private elementary schools in Mountain Brook: Highlands School and N. E. Miles Jewish Day School.
